i.c.e.r.c dolphin & whale g-9101k gulfman

i am ashamed to confess i have succumbed to the hype…
this is my first g-shock related to the i.c.e.r.c dolphin & whale eco-research network. casio and g-shock have been releasing watches in support of dolphin and whale research and hoping to create awareness since 1994. The models released thus far can be viewed here.
this latest version is the non-atomic version of the gw-9101k gulfman. singapore lies off the range of atomic clock signals and g-shock watches built with receptors for receiving these signals are generally not available in singapore and i believe the situation is the same for southeast asian markets.
like the standard non-atomic gulfman models in the market, this model features a tide graph, moon phase indicator and titanium caseback which is touted to be rust resistant.
this watch gets tugged into the box for now until i decide to go swim with the dolphins.
full specifications of the watch and contents of the packaging can be viewed here.

Cant find any information for this version of gulfman in japan g-shock website?
You on9 order for it? Thanks.
I’m tempted to purchase one of these too. But I fear it may turn yellowish after some months of wear. What do you think?

hi Ben,
i think we can’t run away from yellowing straps, especially for jelly/clear and light-coloured bands.
this was an impulse buy for me haha… unless replacement bezels/straps are available soon, i don’t think i will wear them yet.
How much does it cost?
Is there any ways to prevent it turning yellowish?
i bought it for 150SGD.
Hi.Im Zul and Im new to this.Anyway, am interested to buy this model. Know anywhere that I can buy off the shelf in S’pore?n what is the retail price? Saw one on ebay going for USD$170. Hi Zul.
Apologies for the very late reply as I was away the past month.

Hope Andy (shop owner) still has stocks.
You can call the shop at 63379412
cheers.

Does it yellow quick the band? the transparent band? how long time it gets yellow?
i’m afraid i can’t give you a definite answer. Various factors can contribute to how fast it yellows or stains.
[...] bands” and often times they are in light colours such as white or translucent, like the icerc gulfman i blogged about previously. my guess is heavy usage will naturally stain the bands faster and lead [...]
