inversed squares, part 2: dw-5600cl x dw-5600lc
my love for darkness continues with modifications to one of the latest negative display g-shocks released this year: the dw-5600cl-1jf c-spec. i believe “c-spec” refers to the leather/suede-like strap that came stock with this watch.
only resin will do for me, so off goes the strap…
the first mod was a simple change to resin straps. this was followed by removing the colours on the bezel. nail polish remover works surprisingly well. just soak the bezel in the stuff for 20-30 minutes before giving the letters a good scrub with an old toothbrush.
the original watches below: dw-5600lc-4jf (left) and dw-5600cl-1jf (stock images from g-shock perfect search)
i bought a second c-spec with the intention of keeping the module for further modification projects in future. it did not take long…
riley from myshock.com had done a bezel/strap swap using the dw-5600lc-4jf from the summer gradation series and a dw-5600b-1ajf that i featured yesterday and i decided to do a similar modification.
i’m pleased with the results and should probably stock up on the dw-5600cl-1jf while they are still available in singapore

Hello. I’m Japanese. The G-Shock’s in your country is very unusual.
Hey there… I’ve got the black 5600 like the one in the original pic. Where do you change your strap at? I asked around but no where to be found. Looking for the rubber straps.
